Club Info!
The committee and club members are keen to extend support in our local community and form community partnerships in as many ways as we can. We invite anyone interested in forming a partnership with our club to contact our club Secretary.
Woy Woy Rugby Club is proud to be in partnership with the Men’s Shed organisation. Members of the Men’s Sheds come from all walks of life – the bond that unites them is that they are men with time on their hands and would like something meaningful to do with that time. They have developed a safe and happy environment where men are welcome to work on community projects, specific Men’s Shed projects or a project of their choice in their own time and where the only ‘must’ is to observe safe working practices….all in a spirit of mateship.
The Woy Woy Rugby Club School Scholarship Program in partnership with KARI.
KARI is a leading Aboriginal services provider, supporting indigenous families and communities through foster care, child & youth programs, education and family support, welcomed the opportunity to partner with the WWRC.
The program’s aim is to provide financial support to eight (8) Year 11 & Year 12 students, attending Brisbane Water Secondary College, male or female, indigenous or non-indigenous, so they will remain in education through to their HSC year. The support is given through a pre-determined amount of monetary assistance to cover schooling costs such as uniforms, stationary, textbooks and excursion costs.
Woy Woy Rugby Club is proud to be able to support these fine young people in our community. The club is renowned in the area in welcoming anyone who is interested in playing Rugby Union. We have over 160 juniors who generally remain with the club up to U17s and form strong ties to the club.
We are honoured to play on the ancestral lands of the first Australians.
We acknowledge the Darkinjung people who are the traditional owners of this land.
We pay respect to elders both past and present.
